After a rock/mineral is found, it is lightly tumbled. This process is not meant to change the shape of the rock or over-polish it. We don't believe that nature's beauty needs editing. In order to better see the color, luster, fractures, and other unique physical characteristics, we suggest applying a small amount of Jojoba oil to your mineral.
Before you wear your piece, apply a small drop of Jojoba oil to your rock/mineral. Rub the oil in with your hands. Pat off any excess oil, and allow the piece to sit for 30 minutes before wearing. Avoid getting oil on the silver chain. We recommend Cliganic Certified Organic Jojoba Oil.
These rocks/minerals are found in the rugged desert. The fractures and (what some might call) imperfections are what make these necklaces beautiful. These natural characteristics can sometimes amplify a rock's fragility. If your jewelry is dropped on a hard surface, it may break. Please store these in a safe place, and take care when handling them. When wearing your piece, check the jump ring and clasp. Make sure both are secure.
